10.10.2018
The VIII St. Petersburg International Gas Forum (SPIGF) has become the most ambitious in its entire history: over 500 companies from 51 countries of the world took part in it; the SPGF business program included 90 events.

The plenary session “The role and place of gas in the energy balance of the world economy”, which was held by representatives of Gazprom, OMV AG, Uniper SE, CNPC, etc., was the central event of the Forum.

Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Board of Gazprom, noted the growing demand for gas and called 2018 a record year for Russia in exports to Europe. According to him, by the end of this year, the absolute volume of supply will be more than 200 billion cubic meters of gas.

The head of Gazprom and OMV AG Chairman of the Management Board Rainer Seele signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation. The document provides for the establishment of a joint coordination committee on cooperation in the field of natural gas, including exploration, production and transportation, as well as in the field of scientific and technical cooperation and training.

Stroygazmontazh at SPIGF 2018 not only demonstrated its achievements, but also took part in organizing the “Diagnostics in the gas industry” demonstration stand. The exposition of innovative equipment in the field of intelligent pigging was presented by domestic companies Gazmashproekt, Gazprom orgenergogaz, Diakont, IntroScan Technology, and Vnutritrubnaya Diagnostica.

On the final day of the forum, a large-scale diagnostics conference was held, at which Vitaly Markelov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Gazprom, gave a speech. Such topics as the creation of new types of diagnostic equipment, training and advanced training of specialists, improving regulatory documentation were discussed at the event.
