The North-European Gas Pipeline 2 (SEG-2) will provide an opportunity to increase the level of gasification of the North-West and Central regions of the Russian Federation, as well as transport gas through the Baltic Sea to European consumers.
STROYGAZMONTAZ is the general contractor for the construction of 668.7 km as part of the construction project “Development of Gas Transmission Capacities of the Unified Gas Supply System of the Northwest Region, Gryazovets - CS Slavyanskaya section”. The subcontractors of SGM are: Lengazspetsstroy, CCS Gazregion, Krasnodargazstroy, Neftegazkomplektmontazh, and CPH Nauka.
Two lines of the gas pipeline with a diameter of 1,400 mm are being built on the section “538 km - 852.7 km” (641.8 km) and 4 lines with a diameter of 800 mm on the section “852.7 km - 859.5 km” (from the Slavyanskaya compressor station to the coastline - 26.9).
Eight crossings of the Mertvitsa and Luga rivers on the section “852.7 km - 859.5 km” are constructed by the HDD method. Crossings of the Volkhov, Tigoda and Oredezh rivers are carried out using the underwater technical operations.
